POKHARA, May 25: Bluesky Paragliding is preparing to operate commercial paragliding flights from Bandipur of Tanahun. This will make Bandipur the second place in the country to offer commercial paragliding flights after Pokhara.
The Pokhara-based paragliding operator is preparing to launch commercial paragliding from Bandipur from coming August.
Narayan Parajuli, director of Bluesky Paragliding, told Republica that the company has received permission from Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) to operate tandem as well as solo flights from Bandipur.
The company had applied for the permission about three and half years ago.
“We have already received permission to operate commercial flights from Bandipur. Now we only need to complete some formalities like informing local authorities including the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN),” Parajuli said. He further added that the operator will have to inform CAAN´s Pokhara office about flight schedule, number of flights on daily basis.
Gliders will take off from Bandipur Bhanjyang located at the altitude of 1,214 meters and will land at the height of 865 meters. The operators have received permission to fly up to the altitude of 5,000 feet only.
Parajuli said paragliders can enjoy flights from Bandipur when it is not possible to operate flights from Sarangkot due to high air pressure.
Bluesky is also seeking permission to operate commercial paragliding from Sirkot of Syangja.

I have gone through this article and i feel very happy that paragliding is going to be launch from Bandipur to Pokhara. In previous time, from Sarankot to down to the bank of Phewa tal,paragaliding used to be . And i hope this business will be success ahead as the Tourism year is now in Nepal so many foreigners and nepalese will enjoy by flying from paragliding. And i hope that it will improve a lot in the days coming ahead.
