KATHMANDU, May 24: The main accused in the illegal operation of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Prakash Kumar (Pawan) of Saptari, has been arrested by police Tuesday.
He was arrested from the Future Business Investment Private Limited in Kupandole, Lalitpur by the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police.
Police also seized 17 UTL SIM cards, 58 NCell SIM card and 12 Nepal Telecom SIM card from the accused. Eight gateway SIM boxes, cord port, GSM antenna, CDMA port and seven big inverters were also confiscated.
Pawan, who works as an engineer at the Investment Company, has been found to be operating the illegal business for a long time and also encouraging others to join the business, DIG Rajendra Singh Bhandari said.
