KATHMANDU, May 15: At the meeting today of the Legislature-Parliament, Minister for Law and Justice, Prabhu Shah tabled four different proposals.
The Crime Code 2067, Criminal Procedures Code 2067, Criminal Office (Punishment determination and enforcement) Bill 2067 and Bill designed to amend, integrate, adjust and annul some Nepal Acts were tabled at the parliament Sunday.
The proposals were presented amidst the rostrum gherao, sloganeering and commotion by five members of parliament.
As soon as Speaker Subas Nembang began the meeting, MPs Biswendra Paswan, Rukmini Chaudhary, Sadrul Miyan Haque, Buddha Ratna Manandhar and Raj Kumar Limbu (Nalbo) started chanting slogans.
Speaker Nembang made repeated request to the agitating MPs to take their seats but to no avail.
Stating that the special and zero hour program were removed from today’s agenda, Speaker Nembang announced that the next meeting of the Legislature-Parliament would be held at 3:00 pm on May 22, Sunday.
