Why has your organization called the banda in spite of your party chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal?
The banda was called by all ethnic fronts of all the political parties.
Why was it called?
The banda was called to exert pressure on political parties to draft a new constitution by the set deadline. It was also called to exert pressure on political parties to ensure Tamsaling and Newa states in the new constitution as agreed with the government time and again in the past.
Why did you organize a banda despite the political parties´ commitment not to hold any banda during Visit Nepal Year 2011?
We are not political parties. We had submitted memorandums to the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML at their central committees, with regard to our demands. They had expressed verbal solidarity with our cause.
What will you do next?
We will announce another phase of our joint protests in a week.

Unfortunately, the only time the general public and media take a worthwhile notice of an issue is when there is a Banda as it directly affects the public. Our political leaders and parties are power hungry and bickering like rowdy and stray dogs. In the new Constitution, any type of BANDA should be banned in all public places. Where is the logic in this move? (by the way, anyone or group who can shut down the entire country and then say they are not a ´political party´… it´s pure nonsense.)
TMM, I think this will NOT benefit your cause. Again, using force and threats of violence, i.e. having a nationwide temper tantrum, will not draw long lasting support for your cause.
This is how you reach out to the masses, by threatening them?? Why not focus
