Govt calls for labor approval letter

RSS

KATHMANDU, April 10: The government has urged all to get labor approval letter before leaving abroad for employment opportunities in a bid to do away with any kind of risk and receive the government facilities in the future in case of difficulties.

The government urged the laborers to do so as the Nepalis were facing hardships in the gulf countries and the rescue act was not possible in case of any accident if the laborers had left the country sans labor approval letter.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Transport Management, around 200,000 Nepalis including women are in the foreign land to earn their wages without taking the labor approval letter.

Joint Secretary at the Ministry Purna Chandra Dhungel said only 27,000 women, who left for abroad for employment, have taken such approval letter.
