BHAKTAPUR, Jan. 29: Bhaktapur Municipality has been providing free internet facility to tourists visiting Bhaktapur during Nepal Tourism Year 2011.
Considering tourists´ convenience, the municipality has been providing free internet facility to tourists coming to visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square area, said Gautam Lasibas, Tourism Information Center under the municipality.
Free internet is being provided through various centers situated in entry points of this history city listed in world heritage site, he said.
Each center has two employees to inform tourists about art and culture of Bhaktapur. Toilets of international standard, bus parks and road lights have been constructed in several places for the convenience of tourists.
Bhaktapur has been spending its last year´s revenue earned through tourism fee (around Rs. 80 million) on cleaning, heritage conservation and education.
