KATHMANDU, April 13: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Tuesday appointed painter Kiran Manandhar the chancellor of Fine Art Academy.
Prime Minister Nepal also appointed nine-member academy council and 21-member academy assembly members, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Artist Thakur Prasad Mainali is appointed the vice-chancellor of the Academy while Sharada Chitrakar, Ragini Upadhyay Grela, Karma Maskey, Shanta Kumar Rai, Om Khatri and Rabin Koirala are appointed the Academy Council members.
Likewise, KK Karmacharya is appointed the member-secretary of the Fine Art Academy.
Similarly, Academy Assembly members include Kiran Manandhar, Thakur Prasad Mainali, KK Karmacharya, Sharada Chitrakar, Ragini Upadhyay, Karna Maskey, Shanta Kumar Rai, Om Khatri, Rabin Koirala, Bijaya Thapa, Mukesh Malla and Sita Devi Karna.
Other members of the Assembly are Prithvi Narayan Shrestha, Bhuwan Thapamagar, Tara Prasad Ojha, Nima Dhyamchha Lama, Dhan Bahadur Yakhya, Pawan Kumar Rajbanshi, Gyanendra Bibas, Jivnath Pokharel and Sushma Rajbhandari.
Prime Minister Nepal appointed them as per the Nepal Fine Art Academy Act-2064.
