UML warns of protest against govt

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The central committee meeting of CPN UML Tuesday condemned the government and home ministry ´for shielding criminals´.

The party has also warned that it would stage protest against the home ministry if it failed to address the party´s concerns.

The meeting demanded that the government form a judicial team to probe criminal activities, declare deceased Ram Swaroop Paswan as a martyr and provide financial package to family members of deceased Suresh Sah, among others.

Chairman Jhalanath Khanal made a brief comment on present political scenario and presented a political report which will be presented at national representative council meeting.

The leaders will comment on the chairman´s report and the party´s report on state restructuring on Wednesday’s meeting.
