KATHMANDU, Feb 9: As the endeavor of the fervent students of Himalayan Whitehouse International College, the Second Nationwide Himalayan Science Fair 2012 is commencing from February 10 to 11 in their college premises in Baneshwor where high school students from different parts of the country will be showcasing their innovative projects in front of a huge mass!

“The conventional projects that people put forward usually requires a lot of capital injection. But we the students here propose projects that makes minimal use of money and maximum use of the resources around us,” shares Rabindra Ojha, 12th grade student of Whitehouse College.

Their project ideas include homemade alarm, magnetic train, office management system, conduction of electricity from flour, to name a few.

Apart from the projects that these students will be bringing up, the other attraction that livens up the two-day event are gaming competition, blood and eye donation, free health checkup, cultural program, food festival, and a stall where experts from the field of science and technology will be giving a brief seminar.

Yuvraj Sharma, the Chief Executive Officer of Himalayan Whitehouse International College, informs that he is very proud that the future scholars of science are taking up such initiatives.

“These kinds of platforms are quintessential as they teach students the practical application of theoretical insights,” Sharma said and added that apart from facilitating education, this event will also give them a reason to get together with other people and make their personal bonds richer.
